Job Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Registered Dental Hygienist to join our large private dental practice. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care by providing thorough dental cleanings, patient education, and preventive treatments. Your expertise will help promote optimal oral health and ensure a positive experience for every patient. Duties

  • Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
  • Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories and current dental conditions
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
  • Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays and Panoramic X-ray while adhering to infection control protocols
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix. Must be comfortable with paper charts
  • Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and privacy
  • Hours Mondays and Tuesdays 8 am-12 pm, 2 pm-7 pm, Thursdays 8 am-3 pm, and two Saturdays a month are required 8 am-12 pm.

Skills

  • Proficiency in dental software systems such as Dentrix for documentation and scheduling
  • Must be comfortable with paper charts.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control procedures
  • Experience in pediatric dentistry and pediatrics-specific patient care approaches
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain treatment plans clearly and empathetically
  • EMS polishing experience is a plus
  • Being a team player is a must
