Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and the ability to work effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics. This is a busy doctor owned and family oriented practice that strives to maintain a high quality of care.

Duties

• Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health.
• Utilize Dentrix software for managing patient records and scheduling appointments.
• Apply aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and sterile environment for patients.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
• Assist in the preparation of treatment rooms and maintain cleanliness according to infection control standards.
• Perform medical imaging procedures as needed to support diagnostic assessments.
• Maintain accurate medical records and document patient care activities in compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with the dental team to develop individualized care plans for patients

Requirements

• Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
• Proficiency in dental terminology and medical terminology.
• Experience with Dentrix software is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of infection control procedures and aseptic techniques.
• Strong patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations, including children in pediatric dentistry.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
